## Frequently asked questions

### How old do I have to be to rent?
The minimum age is 25 for most of the fleet. Certain higher-value luxury and exotic models require drivers to be 30 or older. The exact minimum is listed on each vehicle page.

### Can someone under 25 rent a car?
Not at this time. For insurance reasons our minimum age is 25, and 30 for select vehicles. If you are under 25, a chauffeured arrangement may be a better fit.

### What kind of driver's licence do I need?
You need a valid, full driver's licence. In British Columbia that means a Class 5 licence. Learner (L) and Novice (N) licences do not qualify. Visitors may use a valid licence from their home country.

### Can visitors and tourists rent from RoluxCars?
Yes. Visitors from outside Canada are welcome with a valid licence from their home country and a passport. An International Driving Permit is recommended if your licence is not in English or French.

### Do you check credit or run a background check?
We run a brief screening before approval. We do not perform a hard credit pull that affects your score, but we do verify identity, licence, and payment method.

### Do I need my own insurance?
Not necessarily. We coordinate insurance on every rental, and a Loss Damage Waiver is available. If you carry your own policy or premium credit-card coverage, bring the details and we will confirm what applies.

### Can I add a second driver?
Yes. Additional drivers must meet the same age and licence requirements and be approved before they drive. Let your concierge know in advance so we can add them to the agreement.

### Is a deposit required for every rental?
Yes. A refundable security deposit, typically $2,000, is held on a major credit card and released after the vehicle is returned in its original condition.

### Do you accept debit cards or cash?
The security deposit must be held on a major credit card in the renter’s name. Debit, prepaid, and cash are not accepted for the deposit. Rental charges can be discussed with your concierge.

### Can I rent on behalf of my company?
Yes. We support corporate accounts with premium invoicing. The approved driver still needs to meet age and licence requirements and be named on the agreement.

### What documents should I have ready?
Have your driver's licence, a major credit card in your name, and proof of identity ready. Visitors should also have a passport. Corporate renters may need company details for invoicing.

### Is final approval guaranteed once I request a booking?
No. A booking request is not confirmed until our team verifies availability, screening, insurance, and vehicle-specific requirements. We aim to confirm quickly, usually within a few hours during business hours.
